Slab foundations
Most newer homes here are on slabs. Any drain move means concrete work, and moving soils make crack-isolation membranes a sensible line item under tile.
Pricing and estimates
There's no honest single number for a bathroom remodel. There is a clear way to get to yours: a measured scope, your selections and a line-by-line estimate.
Open daily 7 AM to 10 PM. Talk to us about your bathroom.
The cost of a bathroom remodel in Dallas is set mainly by three things: how much of the room changes, whether plumbing moves and what the wet areas are built from. Room size matters less than most people expect, because demolition, plumbing, waterproofing and inspections carry fixed costs whether the room is small or large.
That's why we don't publish per-square-foot prices. They're accurate for no one. Instead, every estimate we write is built from a measured scope and the selections you make, so you can see exactly where the money goes and change the parts you want to.
Ranked roughly by how much each decision tends to swing the total.
| Decision | Why it matters | Ways to control it |
|---|---|---|
| Layout changes | Moving a toilet or drain on a slab means cutting and re-pouring concrete and rerouting lines | Keep wet fixtures on their existing drains |
| Shower construction | Curbless floors, benches, multiple heads and steam each add labor and waterproofing | Low curb, one bench or none, a single valve with a handheld |
| Tile selection and layout | Large-format, stone and intricate patterns take longer to set | Standard porcelain sizes and a straight or offset layout |
| Tile coverage | Floor-to-ceiling tile on every wall is far more area than a shower surround | Tile wet walls fully, paint the rest |
| Cabinetry and counters | Custom sizes and fabricated stone cost more than stock pieces | Stock or semi-custom vanity with a quartz top |
| Glass | Frameless doors, extra panels and coatings add up | Single fixed panel where the layout allows |
| Hidden conditions | Rot, mold, failed pans and old drain lines surface during demolition | Plan an allowance, especially in older homes |
After the site visit you get a written scope and estimate that separates the work into lines you can read and compare:
Quotes that look far apart are often describing different jobs. Before you compare totals, check that each one answers these:

Local factors
Most newer homes here are on slabs. Any drain move means concrete work, and moving soils make crack-isolation membranes a sensible line item under tile.
Established neighborhoods can mean pier-and-beam floors, cast-iron drains or galvanized supply lines that are best replaced while walls are open.
Permits and inspections vary. Highland Park and University Park run their own building departments, as does each suburb.
Condos and some neighborhoods limit work hours, parking and dumpster placement, which affects logistics.
Each service page has its own section on the factors that matter for that kind of work.
Because a price without a scope is a guess. Two bathrooms of identical size can differ several times over in cost depending on whether plumbing moves, what the shower is built from and what's found behind the walls. We'd rather give you a real number for your room.
Keep the fixtures where they are, choose standard-size porcelain tile in a simple layout, use a stock vanity and keep glass to a single fixed panel or a framed door. You still get new waterproofing and everything you see.
Some allowance for hidden conditions is sensible, especially in older homes and in showers with signs of leaks. We'll tell you after the site visit whether we see specific risks, and anything found is priced and agreed in writing before work continues.
Ask us when you call. We'll explain how the site visit and estimate work before we book a time.
