Why only bathrooms
A bathroom packs more trades into less space than any other room in the house: framing, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, waterproofing, tile, cabinetry, stone and glass, usually within a few dozen square feet. Small mistakes in any of them show up as leaks, cracks or a room that never quite works.
Focusing on bathrooms means we plan the same sequence of decisions on every job and know where problems tend to hide. It also means we can give straight answers about what's worth spending on and what isn't.
How we approach a project
- Scope before price. We visit, measure and write down what's being built before we put a number on it.
- Hidden work done properly. Waterproofing, slope, blocking and ventilation get the same attention as the tile you see.
- Decisions made early. Selections and long-lead items are settled before demolition so the job doesn't stall halfway.
- Surprises handled in writing. If opening a wall reveals damage, you see it, we explain the fix, and any change is agreed before we continue.
- Plain communication. You know what's happening in your house each week and who to call.

Questions worth asking any remodeler

How will the shower be waterproofed?
You want a specific method and a flood test before tile, not "we use good materials." Our waterproofing guide explains what to listen for.
Who does the plumbing and electrical?
Texas requires licensed trades for this work. Ask who they are and who handles permits.
What's in the price, and what's an allowance?
Low quotes often hide small allowances for tile and fixtures.
What happens if you find damage?
There should be a clear, written change process before work continues.
Can I see insurance and any license documents?
Ask every contractor for current certificates and verify them yourself.
